I’m trying to do applied math for the first time pretty much ever. The problem I’m trying to understand is about a viscous fluid on an inclined plane “governed by the Navier-Stokes equations.” Yikes! First step, I have to learn what all the words mean.
One of the words is “stress tensor,” which is a pun on my current situation.
